Riley Segrue Benefit
c/o Windsor Central Middle School – Main Office
213 Main Street
Windsor, New York  13865

April 4, 2008

We are writing on behalf of the school community for Riley Segrue.  Riley is a 14 year-old young man who is suffering from Dystonia and underwent brain surgery.  Unfortunately, he has had reoccurring complications and is currently in the hospital again, awaiting further surgery.  The Windsor Central Middle School is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit on Riley’s behalf.

Dystonia is a movement disorder that causes the muscles to contract and spasm involuntarily.  The neurological mechanism that makes muscles relax when they are not in use does not function properly.  The involuntary muscle contractions force the body into repetitive and often twisting movements.

The school community is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit to raise funds to assist Riley and his family with their high medical expenses.  Along with dinner, there will be entertainment, raffles, door prizes and carnival type activities for children.  We are hoping to make the Riley Segrue Benefit even more successful with your support.

We are requesting a financial gift or a donation of merchandise either to be raffled or to help defray expenses.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Monetary donations may be made payable to:  The Riley Segrue Benefit Fund c/o Ann Sawicki @ the Middle School.

If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact any of us at (607) 655-8247.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting our fundraising efforts.

Sincerely,
