Clubs - Academic Support - Early Dismissal
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2:20 - 3:15

MOD 11 is a required class, per school board policy, however, students without academic obligations (Homework Center or AIS class) may choose early dismissal or choose from a number of clubs and activities. MOD 11 will begin on Tuesday, September 18th and transportation will be provided at 3:15. Please be advised that the MOD 11 bus runs are longer in duration than hte typical run. |
| Early Dismissal |
A student with no after school obligations may choose the early dismissal option and leave at 2:15 on the first bus run or with a parent. |
| MOD 11 Clubs |
A student without academic obligations may attend one of the numerous clubs or extra-curricular activities during MOD 11. A monthly schedule will be posted in the cafeteria. Students are responsible for notifying parents of their intent to stay for MOD 11 clubs.

| Homework Club |
Students who are approved for early dismissal may voluntarily report to Homework Club for academic assistance or to complete homework assignments. Students should notify parents of their intent to stay for Homework Club. |
| Homework Center |
Students may be assigned to the Homework Center by a teacher, parent or administrator for homework help or for assistance with targeted skill areas in need of improvement.
(ex. Student needs more training in adding fractions)
The assigning teacher will notify parents of a student's requirement to stay for Homework Center. If the assigning teacher is unable to reach the parent to confirm a student staying for that day, arrangements will be made for the following MOD 11.

| Academic Intervention Class MOD 11 |
Students may be assigned Academic Intervention Class during MOD 11 based on a variety of performance indicators. A certified teacher will provide individualized instruction in effort to foster the development of skills necessary to meet New York State Standards. Academic Intervention Class is a New York State requirement for students who do not meet proficiency standards on state assessments.
AIS Class will begin . Tuesday, October 2nd.

MOD 11 Dismissal Procedures |
BLUE PASS for students who ride Bus Routes 1, 2, or 3.
PINK PASS for students who ride Palmer Elementary Buses.
Green Pass for students involved in sports.
